Annalisa Oswald is an Artist, Educator, and Illustrator located in Providence, Rhode Island.
Howdy! I’m Annalisa.
My painting and surface design work is inspired by botany, folk art, and textile design, with the goal of conveying the mystery, beauty, and fragility of nature through the use of botanical elements, intricate patterns, and vivid colors.
Since 2011 I have been an adjunct professor at The Rhode Island School of Design in the Illustration department. Other teaching gigs include UX courses at the Boston Startup Institute, and Graphic Design/Illustration hybrid courses at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (now Tufts University).
I am an experienced Product Leader and Creative Director specializing in EdTech and e-commerce software. I have worked with startups for over 20 years. My strong visual and verbal communication skills, paired with my background in product design & product management, UX design & research, illustration and entrepreneurship has afforded me the opportunity to do what I truly love - making complex ideas simple, and technology products human.
I grew up in Ohio and attended The Ohio State University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking during the golden age of the 90s.
