I grew up in Ohio and attended The Ohio State University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking during the golden age of the 90s.

In 2011 I began teaching at The Rhode Island School of Design and have taught in higher education for the past 12+ years, both at RISD and previously at the Boston Startup Institute, and School of the Museum of Fine Arts (now Tufts University).

I also co-founded a social enterprise based in Nepal called MULXIPLY. Pronounced "multiply", our brand was born out of the recognition that fashion can be fair, art can be healing, and design can change the world.

My mission is to create work that brings joy, inspires kindness, increases compassion for animals, and protects nature. Or, as my friend Kate says, "Kindness, or GTFO."
